Pumpkin Picking 2011

Here are the pictures from our trip to Burt's Pumpkin farm in Dawsonville.  We had a great day buying pumpkins and taking a hay ride.  We had a nice picnic lunch while we were there also.  I remember the weather was warm which made the day that much better.

Halloween

Tonight's post is to update everyone and show pictures from Halloween.  Oh Halloween was so much fun.  I did get a little worried because Claire got really sick the week of Halloween.  We were supposed to have a costume night at Gymboree and then a costume day for ballet.  Claire ended up missing both.  Claire missed the Gymboree class because she took about a 3 hour nap.  It was the first really good sleep she had in a few days.  I remember she went to bed really early that night also and she slept till 9 am the next morning.  It was one of the moments that I was bummed that she missed the fun but I know that it was good for her to get her sleep and help fight off the cold. 

Halloween night was so much fun!  As we have in the past we went over cousin Lulu's house and went trick or treating with her.  Lulu's friends Ethan and Eva had come over join in the fun too.  Trick or treating was awesome!  Claire was a little trick or treating pro!  It's like she had done it 10 times.  She would walk up to the door and say "trick or treat....thank you".  The only thing I had to control was she wanted more than one piece of candy each time.  It was hilarious when we would walk ahead of the group we would wait till everyone caught up and she would pull my hand and say "Come on daddy".  I can't wait till next year!  Enjoy the pics. Gymboree & Ballet

Ah yes, two of my favorite things that Claire participates in, Gymboree & Ballet.  Gymboree is great.  We used to go to Gymboree every Saturday morning but as Claire got older she switched classes and we now go Friday nights.  Gymboree has been a great activity for Claire for many reasons.  It gets her out and she gets to meet new friends.  Claire met her best friend Katelyn at Gymboree.  They are like two peas in a pod.  Every time we go Claire is so excited to see Katelyn.  She always watches the door and says "Where's Katelyn?" At Gymboree the kids sing, they find hidden things, use their imagination, and best of all play and laugh together.  It has been a great experience.

Katelyn's parents Clay and Allison (check out their blog here) told us that we should sign Claire up for ballet.  Well I must admit, great suggestion guys!  Claire loves ballet.  She loves to dance, do the balance beam, and sing in class.  She does very well in class.  Sometimes she is a little eccentric and dances by herself while she watches her shadow in the sunlight shining on the floor through the window.  But honestly, it's wicked cute.  Her recital is in May and I am so excited for it.  Here are a few pictures I snapped with my phone from Gymboree and ballet:

Claire's Turns 3!

Tonight I will tell you about Claire's 3rd birthday that we celebrated over the weekend.  Claire officially turned 3 on December 9th.  We had her party this past Saturday at Gymboree.  Claire has been at Gymboree for probably a year and a half now.....maybe a bit longer.....and attends classes every Friday night.  I will tell you more about Gymboree in future story.

Claire's birthday weekend started Friday with a trip to see Santa.  I was really worried that she would be shy or may not sit in his lap.  However, she did AWESOME!  I was so proud of her.  Here is a few pics from her time with Santa:

On Saturday we had Claire's party at Gymboree.  Many of our family and friends joined us to celebrate.  Claire invited her friend Katelyn and her cousin Lulu.  The girls all seemed to have so much fun playing.  A big thank you to Ms. Melissa, Claire's Gymboree Teacher, for leading the kids through all the activities. We can't thank everyone enough for coming to the party and celebrating Claire's special day with us.  Here are a few pics from the party:

We're Back!

Well it has been since April 2010......21 months since the last post on www.ourbeautifulclairebear.blogspot.com. Why were there no posts since that day? Well, life got busy.....oh.....and Google decided to hijack my site and never did give me access back after my repeated requests for access. But that's alright because now I can just start a new website dedicated to Claire.

So your probably wondering how Claire is doing. Well, Claire just celebrated her 3rd birthday. Time flies huh? I obviously am not going to upload 21 months of pics and stories in one night......I am not super human. What I plan on doing however is going back through pics and trying to re-create the past 21 months, at the same time, share what is happening with Claire now.
